York-Poquoson Circuit Court

The York County-Poquoson Circuit Court is the 9th Judicial Circuit of Virginia. The clerk's office is at 300 Ballard St, P.O. Box 371, Yorktown, VA 23690. Phone: 757-890-3350. The circuit court has concurrent jurisdiction with the General District Court over civil cases with claims between $4,500 and $15,000. Claims over $15,000 are exclusively under the circuit court.

Court files are public record unless sealed by court order. Files are open for inspection Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Copies of court orders cost 50 cents per page. Certified copies add $2 per document.
